The KE-280 is designed for continuous commercial use.
Included with your purchase is the machine which is set with fine abrasives (finishng belts), a training DVD and a cleaning brush. We strongly recommend that you also purchase a pair of medium abrasive belts fitted on carrier wheels (for faster reprofiling of knives) and a spare set of fine abrasive belts.
It's set up with a heavy duty motor and transmission and it's the V8 in the range of sharpeners.
How the SHARPENER works:
The KE-280 Sharpener features a patented, angle controlled cushion contact system, which produces razor sharp knives and polished edges in seconds.
There are 2 closed-cell rubber covered wheels, each carrying endless Aluminium Oxide abrasive belts. The left wheel sharpens the left side of the blade and the right wheel, the right side. The cushion contact system produces a razor sharp smooth cutting edge which does not require a honing steel. During sharpening, the knife is supported at the correct angle by the central guide. Cleaning and replacement of the abrasives is simple, taking less than 1 minute. Other than this, no maintenance is required.

The Guarantee Period starts at the date of original retail purchase.
Total Knife Care warrants that during the Guarantee Period, we will remedy defects in materials or workmanship free of charge either by a) repairing, or b) replacing, or c) refunding.

User Profile: This durable appliance is designed and built to provide many years of satisfactory performance under recommended use. The intended purpose of the Nirey KE-280 is for commercial use ideally suited to Butcher Shops, Restaurants and Commercial Catering purposes.
The Warranty Period is two (2) years.
Total Knife Care will remedy defects according to the Manufacturers Guarantee if electrical components or motor fails within set warranty period.
Exclusions and Limitations
This Guarantee does not cover:
- 1. a) normal wear and tear, b) defects caused by rough handling, or c) defects or damage caused by misuse contrary to intended or recommended use;
- 2. User manuals or replaceable sharpening abrasive belts.
This Limited Warranty is not enforceable if item:
- 1. Has been repaired using unauthorized spare parts; modified or repaired by unauthorized Service Centre.
